A culmination of the first year curriculum, the Empty Space Project challenges directors to collaborate with the space, telling story with just actors and an empty room. In this shortened, bilingual production of Lorca’s classic tragedy, a young woman is driven to the unthinkable by her desperate desire to have a child. An exploration of movement, song, and language, this piece explores the dangers of repressed sexuality and the pressures to be the perfect woman.
